Join the Goldendale Chamber at the Goldendale Observatory
in celebration of the Summer Solstice on the longest day of the year,
Tuesday, June 21st, 6:30 - 9:00 PM.
EVERYONE WELCOME!
This unique fundraiser combines art and astronomy and will feature solar viewing through the Observatory telescope, a presentation on the history of the Observatory, food, beverages, raffles, and a display of prize-winning solar-themed artworks from the Chamber’s recent art contest.
Guests can view the sun through solar telescopes until dusk. “The Goldendale Observatory offers some of the highest-quality live solar viewing opportunities available anywhere,” says Troy Carpenter, Observatory Administrator
Snacks and Refreshments, 50/50 Raffle for Cash Prizes, original art from the 1st & 2nd place winners of the Solstice Art Contest, Solar backpack filled with goodies, T-Shirts, Mugs, and much more.
