Holcomb’s Fresh Market is excited to welcome new ownership under the Akins Fresh Markets family, bringing decades of experience, community dedication, and a passion for quality service. The Akins family’s grocery legacy began in 1963 when Arlis M. Akins opened his first store in Quincy, Washington, built on integrity, hard work, and a commitment to serving small communities. His son, John A. Akins Sr., followed in his footsteps, working in every department before eventually leading the company as Vice President and later taking over after Arlis’s passing in 2007.

Under John Sr.’s leadership, Akins Fresh Markets has expanded to four locations across Central Washington, each rooted in the same values of family and community that started it all. Now, as Holcomb’s Fresh Market joins the Akins Fresh Markets family, customers can expect the same dedication to fresh, quality products and outstanding service. With a strong foundation and a commitment to supporting local communities, Holcomb’s Fresh Market looks forward to continuing its tradition of excellence and hometown hospitality under its new ownership.
