Saturday, Oct. 8, from 9 am to noon, the Chamber is holding a work party. We've got a number of items to take care of: 

• Change out blown light bulbs in the office
• Scrape and paint, and otherwise repair the gazebo
• Deadhead perennials in the round planter, weed and plant iris and other plants
• Replace some of the sprinkler heads that are malfunctioning
• Trim back some of the locust trees 

With many hands, we should be able to make good progress in just 3 hours. Please get back to me if you can make it to the work party and if you have other suggestions for improvements. Members will be joining us and are bringing some tools; weed wacker, saw, hand and power tools, ladder to make this easier. We will need you to bring:

• Trowels, work gloves, sand paper, rags, paint scrapers, paint brushes.
