ABATE of Washington, initially part of a broader movement, was founded in the mid-1970s to advocate for motorcyclists’ rights. It began with the Outsiders M/C and expanded to include various clubs and independent riders. By 1979, it evolved into a chapter-based organization, with several local chapters established, emphasizing its commitment to legislative influence and community engagement.
