About

The Friends of Gorge Area Parks, a dedicated volunteer-driven organization, stands firmly behind four picturesque Washington State Parks nestled within the Columbia River Gorge. These parks include Columbia Hills State Park, Maryhill State Park, Goldendale Observatory State Park, and Brooks Memorial State Park. Through a formal agreement with the Agency, The Friends of Gorge Area Parks have been officially recognized as the primary support group for these cherished natural spaces.

Their mission is clear: to bolster local state parks, enriching the educational and recreational experiences that resonate with all visitors. Whether it’s preserving the pristine landscapes, organizing community events, or advocating for sustainable practices, The Friends of Gorge Area Parks tirelessly champion the cause of these beloved outdoor havens.
